A Weekend to Remember

Last weekend Aim and I went to the Marriot for AJ and Wendy's X-mas present to us. "A Weekend to Remember" it is a convention for couples that are engaged, married or have been married for 30 plus years. It was pretty amazing to see all the different types of couples that were there.

If you look close at the picture, you can see that alot people have their arm around their significant other... Pretty funny

INGAPP Strikes again

Since I have finished Skewerz my stock has went up a bit. I recently contracted to do another restaurant called "Kamp". The project is for the same owners of Moonshine- Business is good so far- I am getting alot of referrals and storm season is right around the corner so this should be a good year!

This is the main floor and lounge area. We just gutted the space and are putting in the sub-flooring starting Monday

This place needs alot of work so I will busy-

Big things-

This is the Sunset Foods that Dad referred me to in Lake Forrest. It has a giant cedar roof on it that we will be replacing. This is one of the biggest jobs I have ever signed... Thanks Popp!

140 squares of roofing, not bad!!
We will be replacin the entire strip mall. This should take us about a week to complete-CHA-CHING!

Skewerez

I have not blogged in a while. I have been very busy with work, wedding etc.
But I am putting the finishing touches on the restaraunt Skewerz that I contracted. Here are some pics of the progress

The ceiling and the fan that took about 2 weeks to customize

The service counter

Pretty much finished with everything

The exterior of the building that we painted-

The Skewerez shirts came in also, so we wore them to lunch Billy, myself, Jak the co-owner and the Chef Mike the owner.

Not up Aim's alley

Friday and Saturday night Aim and I rented a couple flicks and stayed in... First we watched the Darjeeling Limited-

Three American brothers who have not spoken to each other in a year set off on a train voyage across India with a plan to find themselves and bond with each other -- to become brothers again like they used to be. It was very slow but I thought funny in a dry sense.. Aim gave it 2 very big thumbs down. If you enjoyed the movie Rushmore(which i loved) you will truly enjoy this one.

Saturday we watched The Southland Tales... This movie was awesome! If you like Sci-Fi this movie is perfect. Again Aim.. not a fan, she zonked out in the beginning. But
I stayed up and watched it. Southland Tales is an ensemble piece set in the futuristic Los Angeles on July 4, 2008,(which is sweet cause that is the near future) after there is a nuclear strike in the states. The movie juggles social, economic and environmental disaster with clones and 4th dimensional worm holes. If you saw Donnie Darko this one is similar with twists and turns only better- I loved it-Popps this one does not suck-

Although Aim did not enjoy these.... I recall sitting through "Dan in real life", and "No Reservations" in the theatre... I was due-

Are you kidding me?
