Giving thanks

This year was the last year Aim and I will be splitting the Thanksgiving holiday between our two families. Next year I will go to my family's party and She will go to hers. Since we can't agree on a compromise... Just kidding!!! We have always gone to her parents for dinner, then to Jamis for dessert. Alot of driving and a looooong day. So we are going to start rotating years at each family. Starting next year. Easier on us. So here are our pics from this year!!

I am very thankful for my Wife-

A little Mother~Daughter kitchen time

Sonny was goin nuts on Pinot the small dog, that coulda been his lunch. Hilarious, he's like a bull in a china shop.

Then we drove to Huntley for Dessert at the Timmons' house.

Aim and Jerri were runnin a sweat shop for jewelery, being made upstairs.

And then the kids dressed up, Like it was Halloween.

The Great Indoors

Last weekend Aim and I were invited to the Wisconsin Dells by Daryl and Jerri. They were taking the boys up there to spend the weekend at the Wilderness lodge indoor water park. We had alot of laughs over the trip. A great family to spend the weekend with. Even though they beat us at trivia pursuit(twice) Judy Judy Judy!

This was our lodge

Daryl whippin up some Sloppy Joe sandwiches.

We got to spend alot of time witht the boys just hangin out. Playing games, watchin the Disney Channel. Cooper started calling me "CHRISSY BOY" hilarious.

Old Stomping ground

On the drive home from the Dells, we drove through Poplar Grove, a place that AJ and I lived for about 7 years. A small farm town about 60 miles northwest of Chicago. Aim was surprised to the 82 acre farm we lived on. It is definitely a change from the way we live now. I can't imagine what would've came of me had I never moved from there. Thank God for Palatine

5329 Whiting Rd. The one with the long driveway that was impossible to shovel w/ bad snow.

The creek has dried up and the fields are all over grown looks like the buildings are falling. It doesn't look like anyone has taken care of the place in a while. SAD.

Cookin

We recently added a bunch of channels including the food channel. I am really getting into the Iron Chef. Sunday night they made a pan seared white fish, on a bed of mushroom risotto, topped with shaved carrots and carmelized onions sauteed in a white wine strawberry reduction, and garlic leafed spinach.

I actually had all the ingredients so I tried to replicate the meal. Presentation and all. Turned out pretty well too. Only I had no strawberry in my reduction,or mushroom risotto, so I used white wine and vinegar and white rice.

Uncle Chris' day care

Sunday my friend Chef Mike and his wife Serene were in a jam. They had to go to a friends wedding and their baby sitter got sick last minute. He called in the favor of all favors as he called it. Baby sit his 7 and 3 year old for 9 hrs!!! Theta and Kya are there their names. Cute as can be.... But Aim had to work from 10-3... So I took them to 4 parks, went bowling, and took them to see where the Wild Things are. I cant imagine having 2 kids full time, talk about an emotional roller coaster. Happy, sad, hungry, bathroom breaks every 30 minutes at the movie. I could see how as a parent you make sacrifices daily. (I really didn't want to miss any of the movie). Hilarious how selfish you are when you have no kids... Let alone 2 for 1 day.

I gave them some chalk and they became instant graffiti artists tagging up the back yard walk way

Aim had to work all day.... So I was solo all until 4:00 pm. It was fun though the neighbor kids Aidan and Shane came over and watched Bee movie and I made grill cheeses for everyone. Hilarious, when Aim came home how I was like, I need a break babe. PLEASE take them for a bit. So to all you parents out there... I salute you!!! Longest day of my life!!!

And man did they love Luigi, he was almost exhausted as I was when they left.

Whatta day, whatta long day, whatta an exhausting day, whatta great day-
